Hot and Bothered: Changing the conversation, changing lives

The Hot and Bothered campaign brought menopause out of the shadows and into the spotlight like never before. From October 9 to December 3, it was all out for women’s health, and the results have been unbelievable! Together, we’ve sparked a movement to end the stigma of menopause, raise awareness and ensure women get the care they deserve before, during and after menopause.

Thanks to your incredible support, here’s what we’ve accomplished:

$630K RAISED FROM INAUGURAL EVENT

Cause for the Pause brought together over 200 women to share their menopause stories and hear from Sinai Health’s experts.
  • 46 teams signed up to take the Hot and Bothered Challenge.
  • 300 new donors supported our Hot and Bothered Challenge to raise funds for women's health.
  • 401 Hot and Bothered T-shirts sold, showing that menopause isn't a taboo subject or something to be embarrassed about.
  • 86 media outlets shared our message - including the Globe & Mail, Toronto Star, Global News and more - reaching 33 million+ people across the country.
  • 6X increase in the number of followers on our social media channels, with more people than ever before joining the conversation.
  • 3,453 subscribers to The Flash, with 706 new sign-ups this fall, emphasizing the importance of open conversations about menopause and the continued growth of our community to reach even more individuals.
  • 100+ personal stories shared , amplifying the voices of women and breaking the silence around menopause.
